CONDITIONS OF HIRE

 

THE HIRER shall be responsible for leaving the premises and surrounding area in a clean and tidy condition with all wastebins emptied, tables are wiped clean, floors and kitchen clean and tidy; and all rubbish put into the dustbin outside the back door. The central heating must be turned off, the hall properly locked and secured.

   Any damage to the property should be reported immediately.

THE HIRER MUST take out adequate insurance for any items brought on site this includes BOUNCY CASTLES and and electrical items. The village halls insurance will not cover accidents or damage that occur on the premises.

    The Hall and all ancillary rooms are officially designated as a “No Smoking” zone. THE HIRER shall ensure that there is no smoking or vaping on the premises. Car Parking

The road outside the Hall is a public road and this must not be obstructed. The Hall car park will accommodate a good number of cars if they are parked sensibly. Any overflow should be parked at the side of the road, or by prior arrangement in the Church car park over the road.

Please leave the reserved space nearest the entrance gate for use by the disabled.

 

Standard Conditions of Hire

Supervision

THE HIRER will, during the period of the hiring, be responsible for supervision of the premises, the fabric and the contents, their care, safety from damage however slight; or change of any sort and the behaviour of all persons using the premises whatever their capacity, including proper supervision of car parking arrangements so as to avoid obstruction of the highway.

Use of Premises

THE HIRER shall not use the premises for any purpose other than that described when  making the original request to hire.

The time of hire is from when the keys are collected until when they are returned. Initial entry is via the front door which has a lever lock.

    Nothing is to be attached to the walls or paintwork – there are notice boards 

   There is a maximum limit of 60 people in the main Hall due to Fire Regulations.

   Hirings for parties of 15 to 25 year olds require returnable cash deposit of £250 and a minimum of 2 over 25 yr old adults to be present at all times.

THE HIRER shall be responsible for obtaining such licences as may be needed.

The  Village Hall is not licensed by the Performing Right Society, PRS or Phonographic Performance Licence, PPL to play copyright recorded music to the public.

Public Safety Compliance

THE HIRER shall comply with all conditions and regulations made in respect of the premises by the Fire Authority, Local Authority, the Local Police.

THE HIRER shall ensure that any electrical appliances brought by them to the premises and used there shall be safe and in good working order, and used in a safe manner. and be PAT tested. Please report any damaged or broken equipment to the Hall Secretary.

Indemnity

THE HIRER shall indemnify the Trustees for the cost of repair of any damage done to any part of the property including the curtilage thereof or the contents of the buildings which may occur during the period of the hiring as a result of the hiring.

Use of IT equipment

The hirer is responsible for returning any IT equipment in good working order to the location specified at the time of letting.
